A doua postare din seria gândaci “pufoși” dar de această dată cu o specie care nu se găsește în România.
Pygopleurus humeralis (Brullé, 1832), o specie care se găsește prin nordul Greciei (Tracia), sudul Bulgariei și Turcia europeana, exemplarele din imagini (2 masculi și o femelă) sunt din Grecia.

Interesting blog Cosmin. I would not have guessed that a “hairy” bug would be found in a relativly warm climate. Are they found all over or only in specific areas?

thanks. at least in Romania only in the most warmer area… down to the south in Greece they were quite frequent. from what I know around Mediterranean Sea are quite a few species.
